Winter and Weather :: With winter around the corner, Long Island has been experiencing some interesting weather for the later part of the fall season. Rain and wind caused Shinnecock Canal to flow upstream over the flood gates towards Peconic flooding the nearby roadway. This past month the Dock house received a little bit of character with a cupola. Bulk-heading in Abes Cove wrapped up during mid-November creating key dry storage space that will be used during the upcoming winter months.
